Our 2009 team was small but we were grateful to have Hunter, Phil, Brant, Chris, Zach and Erin as mentors to give us more direction in our work. From the start of the season, the team needed new equipment and more variety of tools. Luckily, getting new equipment was possible because of our sponsor, Ecolab. Also on the bright side, our teacher Mr. Matthes became a father to his newborn daughter. Even though it was hectic, he still took the time to monitor our progress and work. We were thankful when Mr. Ekblad also started helping our team. Both spent a lot of time with us up until the very last moment when we managed to come in 16 out of 50 teams at the regional competition.
